Nicole Pappas Stanoch joined Athena Group Intl in 2010. She studied Art and Art Education at Pratt Institute, University of Minnesota and received her BFA from Parsons. While in university she studied for one year in Paris and was an expat student at thirteen. After graduating, she worked in art education and wrote curriculum for public schools for seven years. Still a working artist, she is currently the artist in residence at the University of Minnesota e-studio. Both her personal work as well as the curriculum she writes for Athena Youth programing combine art as a form of communication as well as a catalyst for discussing the range of emotions that occur in kids who are about to embark on their own journeys abroad.
